Welcome to our project. Yes, we put our daughter up for an experiment - but it’s very important! We’re talking movies, after all. It’s hard to argue that movies do not have a significant influence on our lives. Ann and I thought it would be a unique idea (and an interesting experiment) to ask the people of the world (and not just the film critics) for their input as to what are the top 50 films an 8 year old should start watching as part of a cultural film education.
Keep in mind, she will have watched some of these films before she turns 8, but we will turn her critical thinking cap on at this age and ask her to start reviewing the movies you pick as the top 50 - one at a time. Pretty cool, huh? Give it a shot, let us know what you think!
